The answer to this is very simple Conor McGregor vacated the championship that he won against Eddie Alverez in November 2016. After that, he would take his time off MMA and go on to face the most famous pound for pound boxer of all time,Floyd Mayweather, in August 2017 at T-Mobile Arena, where Khabib was fighting for a vacant championship against AL Laquinta, where he won his first championship.  In 2018, a conflict occurred between two teams. Khabib’s team and Conor’s team were involved in conflict and confronted each other, then clashed at UFC 229. Khabib won that fight by four-round submission.

As a result, the UFC became the most exciting promotion in the world.  The following year, after their fight, the UFC organization also held the highest attendance that was recorded on October 6th, 2019 at UFC’s 243 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
